McKenzie Nickerson, RYT 200

 

I began my yoga journey towards the beginning of 2018, and it has expanded my life in ways that I never could have imagined. Learning to connect to various aspects of myself has been incredibly eye opening, and has provided me with various tools that I can use both on and off of my mat.

 

One of my big passions is mental health. Yoga as a self-care method has been so very important to me, and has provided me with another outlet for resetting my stress levels. I love that I get to choose to set aside an hour for myself at a time—an hour that typically involves connecting with other people and connecting to my body, soul, and mind as well.

 

Off of my mat, you might find me at the gym, hanging out with my dogs, or catching up on some of my favorite TV shows. I love how yoga balances out all of the various activities that I love to do in my life.

 

My favorite type of class to teach is one where there is an emphasis on moving and breathing. It will never fail to amaze me the power that our breath can have over our physiological responses and the mindset we find ourselves in. It is my hope that you'll join me and experience the amazing benefits of yoga for yourself--as well as the amazing community experience that is Sage Studio.
