His gentle and energetic massage style is called Polarity or Satvic Massage, and it utilizes the elements Earth, Water, Fire, and Air as they relate to balancing the chakras. As an accomplished Deep Tissue Therapist, the bulk of his experience is in giving the Back Treatment.
It is a focused detailed approach to resetting the proprioceptors in the muscles of the low back, spine, neck, and shoulders. His effective approach to relieving pain and tension has helped countless people on their healing journeys.
He loves teaching his students and clients both in Yoga and Massage as well as Wellness Coaching, and would love to help You on Your’ healing journey.
Each massage is a custom massage that will use some or all of the following massage
techniques. These techniques will be chosen based on your individual needs, wants, and my
professional recommendations.
The ultimate goal of my art is to facilitate relaxation, assist the body in its natural healing processes, relax and quiet the mind, and uplift the soul.
-
Swedish Massage — Swedish massage is also called a relaxation massage.
-
Elemental Polarity/Satvic Polarity — Polarity utilizes the elements Earth,
-
Water, Fire, and Air… in order to balance the corresponding chakras and holistically balance the whole being.
-
Deep Tissue Back Treatment — The Back Treatment is my personal specialization, it is detailed focused work on the muscles of the spine, back, neck and shoulders. Utilizing Polarity, Cranial/Sacral, Core Synchronicity, Swedish and Deep Tissue Therapy I can effectively alleviate pain. It is especially beneficial for those with scoliosis, low back discomfort, shoulder tension, neck pain, and not to mention a great many other maladies which arise from each of these issues.
-
Myofascial Release — Slow and deep releases take time, a myofascial massage is a test in patience, and we are all the better for it. It takes time to open up, and time to let go.
-
Trigger Point — Do you like pain? Here’s a great way to focus on it, and if you - like me - do not like pain then don’t get deep tissue massages. To make peace with your pain is not an easy thing. Though when you understand the processes which lead to having the pain initially, the real challenge becomes not causing more pain. Mindfulness offers a physiological approach to re-setting our proprioceptors or the nerve receptors which regulate the tension on our muscles.
-
Trigger Point Therapy is intensive and challenging and advanced.
-
Cranial sacral — The body opens and closes in an endless, living oscillation of life’s respiration. By harnessing the movement that is created in the body, it creates space for more growth and greater range of movement which in turn creates healing and growth in the tight spaces between the space. This modality is beneficial for things like whiplash and compression injuries.
-
Sports Massage — Attention to detail is paramount when an athlete is training or in competition mode. This massage modality focuses on the finer details relating to quick nerve reaction and efficient muscular utilization. Useful for specific medical injuries and sports related pain.
-
Core Synchronicity — The path toward self-realization can be aided, a moment of peace can be found; synchronization of the chakras is something I can help with. This modality expands upon polarity and cranial/sacral in a master work of opening the channels of energy, thenadis or the chi, toward the highest self.
-
Swedish Gymnastics/Stretching — Swedish gymnastics is an archaic set of passive stretches. Imagine going to a yoga class and not having to do anything, I do the stretches for you. This allows the body to safely relax and be stretched and we can see noticeable improvements rather quickly in range of motion.
-
Cupping— Utilizing both hard and soft cups, this modality is very effective for those who do not like deep tissue or the more intense modalities. Cupping is not a “traditional” massage, as compared to a Swedish type massage, it is an ancient art form from Traditional Chinese Medicine used to direct blood flow toward sore, achy, and tight muscles.
-
Prenatal Massage- I have massaged countless Mothers to-be and have a special place in my heart for helping the very stressed-out Mommas. Having worked with many doulas and birthing coaches I am confident in my skills as a provider working with this especially vulnerable population.
-
Reflexology- Best foot massage you’ll ever get, this modality is focused on the feet and energetic philosophy related to the reflexive points which correlate between the feet, and the rest of the body including organs and endocrine systems.
