Class Descriptions...

All classes at Sage Studio honor the 8 limbed tradition of yoga. We engage in Hatha yoga “pose based yoga” and Tantra, the deeper traditions of Spirituality that are at the core of a fully rounded yoga practice. All religions and beliefs are welcome here as we focus on the elements of spirituality that are applicable to all.

Monday:

Basic Yoga • 6:00pm-7:00pm
Teacher:  Ann Littell Mills 

This is the essence of the Yoga practice.  Learn form, structure, safety, and foundation to build your practice upon.  It’s perfect for all levels and essential for those just getting started.  This foundational class will set you up with a solid physical practice and great understanding of yoga concepts.  

Yin Yoga • 7:15pm-8:15pm
Teacher:  Jann Baker  

Poses are seated and held 3- 5 minutes.  Muscles are relaxed as we strengthen and focus on the joints and connective tissue. This practice is based in stillness teaching you how to sit in your feelings and breathe through uncomfortable situations.  Open & beneficial to all levels!

Tuesday:

Flow 2 • 4:30pm-5:45pm
Teacher:  Shane Knox

This strong and challenging vinyasa style class is rooted in creative sequences that increase strength, flexibility and endurance. Variations are offered to help you take your practice to the next level.  Modifications and “work tos” are offered to make the class open to all levels.

Mixed Level • 6:00pm-7:00pm
Teacher:  Shane Knox

Meant to be challenging while allowing for you to “be where you are” with your practice. Open to all levels of people who practice yoga. Strong focus on breath and movement working together, and a good sweat. Work at your level while reaching for the next!

Wednesday:

Flow 1 • 4:30pm-5:45pm
Teacher:  Shane Knox

Poses and breath are linked together in a slow moving but challenging flow. This class gives you a chance to move into a vinyasa style class while also giving you a chance to settle into the poses for a deep, rich experience on the mat. 

Yin Yoga
6:00pm-7:15pm
Teacher: Shane Knox

Join our resident Shaman and settle into your mat, the music, and your breath for an opportunity to “go deep” into the body and the mind.  Long, deeply held base poses, based on the Yin Yoga concept will give you a feeling of letting go and opening the body that will benefit you on and off the mat.  This is a chance to check out of life while checking in with yourself.

 

Thursday:

Restorative Yoga • 6:00pm-7:15pm
Teacher:  Traci Snyder 

Slow it down and open your body through passive stretching.  Props are used extensively to support your body so you can hold poses for longer periods of time. Postures are usually adapted from supine or seated yoga poses with the addition of blocks, bolsters, and blankets to eliminate unnecessary straining.

Teacher:  McKenzie Nickerson

Friday:

Power Yoga • 6:00pm-7:15pm

This is our most challenging class!  Get ready to sweat!!  Power Yoga focuses on an advanced, strong flow with creative transitions and deeper teachings. This class embodies our credo of “Strong on the mat.  Strong in life.”

Saturday:

Open Studio • 10:15am-11:30am
Teacher:  Shane Knox

Open to anyone wanting to advance their practice.  The props, space, and Shane’s instruction are available to all level’s of yogis.  Come with questions, come for help with poses, or just do your own thing.  Sacred space, many paths, one practice....Sat Nam!
