Yoga Etiquette:

  • Leave your shoes and non-yoga items by the front door in the space provided.

  • Arrive at least 5 or 10 minutes early to be able to settle in.

  • Keep conversation in the yoga space at a low level and brief to honor other people seeking quiet for their practice.

  • Turn off your cell phone or leave it in the car.

  • Be mindful of other people’s personal space, mat, and belongings.

  • Be mindful of their time and focus as well.

  • Follow the sequence offered by the instructor.

  • Do not give in to feelings of competition.

  • Do not make inappropriate comments about another’s practice, body, or lifestyle.

  • Honor Savasana. It is an important part of the yoga practice.

  • Bring a positive energy to the practice and the space.

  • Enjoy yourself!!

Yogi's Bill of Rights:

  • You have the right to practice free from comparison or judgment.

  • You have the right to decide if and when you will be touched, this includes adjustments to poses.

  • You have a right to be spoken to in a respectful manner.

  • You have a right to professional and educated instructions.

  • You have the right to “opt out” of any pose or practice in any class.

  • You have a right to have your personal space and property respected.

  • You have the right to practice in a clean and safe environment.

  • You have the right to ask questions.

  • You have the right to be yourself.  Sage Studio does not discriminate.

  • You have the right to address any issues or problems with the teacher present or with the studio owner.
