About the Classes

At Sage Studio, we teach yoga as a complete practice.
Strength. Alignment. Breath. Awareness.

Rooted in the 8-limbed tradition, our classes integrate physical form with deeper spiritual grounding — accessible to all backgrounds and beliefs.

Ashtanga
Ashtanga is the foundation of all vinyasa or flow yoga. It is a strong physical practice that also allows for a sense of “moving meditation”.

Ashtanga is rooted in the alignment of breath and movement and will leave you feeling strong and centered. There is a real sense of accomplishment and wellbeing that comes from this style.

It is for all levels and modifications will be offered, so if you are new to the practice or established, you will get something from this class. Strength, breath, focus, and fun all come together in this class and you’ll be glad you came.
Friday Night Flow
A vinyasa-style class that builds strength, alignment, and breath through purposeful, intelligently sequenced movement.  Accessible for beginners and challenging enough to support growth. You’ll leave energized, grounded, and accomplished.
Iyengar
Precision-based alignment with attention to detail.  Great for beginners or anyone refining their form. You’ll leave stable, supported, and confident in your body.

 
Rise and Shine Yoga
A gentle morning practice designed to wake up the body and center the mind.  Accessible for all levels.
You’ll feel refreshed, aligned, and prepared for the day ahead.
Open Studio
Open studio is a chance to use Sage Studio to further your practice. This space gives you the opportunity to explore and develop your practice regardless of what you are working toward.

Shane, and often other teachers, will be present to help you hit that pose, find the work to for what you want to do, or coach you in the deeper aspects of yoga. Come and reach for the apex pose, work on basics, meditate, or establish your breath practice in a safe and encouraging space with support and guidance that is just for you and your goals.
All classes are taught with modifications and options to help you get the most out of your practice, regardless of your experience and level of practice.
Deep Stretch
Focused on long holds and breathing to open the body and create flexibility and mobility while establishing a sense of calmness and centeredness.
Gentle Yoga
Give yourself permission to slow down.  Build mobility, breath control, and steady strength through slow, intentional sequencing.
For anyone who wants a slower grounded practice.
Mixed Style Yoga 
 A well-rounded practice that builds strength, mobility, and steady breath.  Expect thoughtful movement, variety, and a class that leaves your body feeling both worked and refreshed.
Playful Flow
A vinyasa-style class that encourages exploration, creativity, and joy in movement.Expect flowing sequences, balance challenges, and a welcoming space to try new things in your practice. You’ll leave feeling strong, energized, and inspired.
Yoga for the Soul
Join Shaman Shane for a full yoga practice rooted in tradition and the Eight Limbed path. Philosophy, breath, and postures are all woven together to offer a complete and authentic yoga experience.
This class brings in yoga’s deeper teachings while building strength, awareness, and presence on the mat.
Open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
For anyone seeking a fuller experience of yoga and the benefits it offers.
Yin 
Slow. Deep. Intentional. Improve flexibility and joint mobility while calming the nervous system.  All poses are seated and held 3 to 5 minutes.
Perfect for all levels, especially if you need restoration or recovery.
You’ll leave relaxed, open, and reset.

Stroke Recovery Yoga with Dr. JR Kille

Stroke Recovery Yoga is a type of yoga that is specifically designed for individuals who have suffered from a stroke. It is a form of therapeutic yoga that focuses on helping stroke survivors regain their strength, mobility, and balance. Stroke Recovery Yoga incorporates specific poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices that are tailored to the needs of stroke survivors.

Stroke Recovery Yoga is based on the principles of traditional yoga, but it has been adapted to meet the unique needs of stroke survivors, so our class will be mostly seated.  The practice emphasizes gentle movements and modifications to traditional yoga poses to accommodate physical limitations and disabilities. The goal of Stroke Recovery Yoga is to help stroke survivors improve their physical function, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance their overall quality of life.

 

 

This class will meet for one hour every Thursday at 10am.
