About the Classes...

All classes at Sage Studio honor the 8 limbed tradition of yoga. We engage in Hatha yoga “pose based yoga” and Tantra, the deeper traditions of Spirituality that are at the core of a fully rounded yoga practice.

All religions and beliefs are welcome here as we focus on the elements of spirituality that are applicable to all.

Monday Yoga Classes:

 

9:00am-10:00am

Flow with Clark Neumann

This level 1-2 class will teach form and alignment for basic poses while giving you the freedom to explore creative flows and an occasional challenge pose. No matter your ability, expect to be accepted, celebrated, and encouraged in a joyful yoga practice!

10:15am-10:45am

Meditation with Clark Neumann

In this 30 minute meditation class we will spend the first 10 minutes learning and practicing different breathing exercises or pranayama.    

The next 18 minutes are devoted to quiet, individual meditation.  

And for the final 2 minutes you are invited to focus on the practice of metta meditation.  The practice of filling ourselves and the world with love.  

You are welcome to bring your own mala, mantra, prayer beads or meditation tool, mat, cushion, or anything you want.  If you have no idea what those things are you are extra welcome and invited to come and learn, we have everything you need.

4:45pm-5:45pm

Kundalini with Tonya Hockett

Kundalini is a type of yoga that uses breathwork, meditation, a set of yoga postures (kriyas), mantras, and mudras to awaken and activate the kundalini energy within us. Kundalini yoga also strengthens our nervous system, balances our endocrine system, purifies our bodies, and stabilizes our emotions. Kundalini yoga is a practice that uses postures, mantra, and yogic breathwork to balance the mind, body, and spirit. It's low to no sweat and suitable for all levels.

Power Yoga with Shane Knox

A level 3 class.  This high-energy class will challenge your strength, endurance, and flexibility as you move through a series of intense flows and holds. Build internal heat, ignite your inner fire, and leave feeling strong, focused, and energized. Let's tap into our inner power and rise to the challenge together!

This level 1 class is based on the Iyengar style of yoga and is focused on foundation, structure, and form of poses with no transitions between. It is ideal for those wanting to learn the traditional poses seen in all other classes.

Creative Flow with Shane Knox

A level 3 class where several poses and modifications are strung together with a flowing transition between the sequences. It is fun and challenging and is never the same sequence from class to class. Perfect for the experienced practitioner or those wanting to challenge themselves.

 

Thursday Yoga Classes:

 

7:00am-8:00am

Beginners Yoga with Dr. JR Kille

A level 0 class that introduces the student to basic yoga seated, standing, and balance poses. Props are often used during this practice. This class is great for all levels and is designed to help learn or review basic yoga postures.

4:45pm-5:45pm
Gentle Yoga with Jann Baker

In this level 1 class we give ourselves permission to slow down.  Poses focus on integrity and finding ease keeping head, heart and root aligned. Yoga means Union and in this class we begin with ourselves. Gentle union with our bodies and breath. Enjoyable for all levels.

Saturday Morning Flow with Shane Knox

This level 2 class is a Vinyasa style that incorporates standard poses with transitions between them to create a flowing connection between breath and movement that begins to develop strength, balance, and flexibility. Expect a mind, body, and spirit in this class for the new or intermediate practitioner.

Open Studio

This is a chance to work on any aspect of yoga at any level. The studio is open for everyone to work on what they want to. Shane and often another teacher will be present to help guide you in whatever you are working on from basics to advanced practices.

Sunday Yoga Classes:

9:00am-10:00am

Rise and Shine Yoga with Candiss Chapman

A level 1 class that incorporates Yin yoga, accessible standing and balance poses, seated or supine twists and additional stretches. Props are often used during this practice. This class is great for all levels and is designed as a a gentle morning practice to energize you for the day ahead.

All classes are taught with modifications and options to help you get the most out of your practice, regardless of your experience and level of practice.

Stroke Recovery Yoga with Dr. JR Kille

Stroke Recovery Yoga is a type of yoga that is specifically designed for individuals who have suffered from a stroke. It is a form of therapeutic yoga that focuses on helping stroke survivors regain their strength, mobility, and balance. Stroke Recovery Yoga incorporates specific poses, breathing techniques, and meditation practices that are tailored to the needs of stroke survivors.

Stroke Recovery Yoga is based on the principles of traditional yoga, but it has been adapted to meet the unique needs of stroke survivors, so our class will be mostly seated.  The practice emphasizes gentle movements and modifications to traditional yoga poses to accommodate physical limitations and disabilities. The goal of Stroke Recovery Yoga is to help stroke survivors improve their physical function, reduce stress and anxiety, and enhance their overall quality of life.

 

 

This class will meet for one hour every Thursday at 10am.
